I am sure you are just as busy as I am. I love to grab a cup of coffee and five minutes quiet time. That is how I ended up blogging – because I read them, related to them and sometimes they made me laugh. I urge you now to grab a cup of coffee, sit down with me and chat.
I maintain that nothing brings a family together like a good shared meal. We do plenty of those at my house.
2016 was a big year for me. I left my job in corporate law and I started working with an international recipe blog where I made recipes, commented on them and got paid! I had turned my hobby into something which made me money. I learnt a lot from being on that site and I had lots of fun too. I loved sharing my ideas and people loved to hear about them. It was great to be so interactive. That recipe site is Recipe Lion and Fave Gluten Free recipes. On that site my username is FoodLover.
I learnt in December 2016 that I had Celiac disease. I could not eat gluten anymore. Now I am a little set my ways, especially when it comes to cooking, as the old favourites always work well but I had to learn all about being gluten free. I had no idea where to start. When I started to investigate, I wondered how my budget would stretch! This led to eating healthier altogether, exercising and a whole new lifestyle which I never even planned. I want to share with you where to go to get great healthy meals (or how to make them yourself) and you don’t feel as if you are missing out on something, how the transition was actually easy for me and how it could be for you too.
I am a single mom and my two children are my life. My daughter is 24. I am very proud of her. She is extremely accomplished already. She has two degrees, is a published author and has her own blog www.kaylinmichelle.com. She has travelled the world and shares her experiences.
Then I have a 13 year old teenage son who keeps me very busy. He is my sunshine. He is also much bigger than me and is still growing and I don’t know what to do with him. He eats me out of house and home but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
